On 8th March,2024, the completed Maternity Ward Expansion of the Manhyia Government Hospital was handed over to the hospital.
Manhyia Maternity Block Extension Project (collaboration with the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation).
The Manhyia Maternity Block aims to expand the healthcare facility to be able to accommodate more patients. The Otumfuo Charity Foundation and Joberg Foundation jointly funded it.
This project covers the construction of a 30-bed maternity block (extension) with nine wards, one doctors’ room, one changing room, one nurses’ office, mothers’ resting area, six water closets, four baths, and a lobby.
The total cost is 1.2 million Ghana Cedis.
